There are many flaws to being an adult. For one thing people expect you to do more. what was it with age that had people wanting you to do more and more and more? Even though you are older, there are perks with age. Some people call it stuck in the 80's or what ever. Another downfall to being an adult is you can't date those 20 years younger then you. Especially if you're a thirty year old librarian. Something about it being illegal and rape. Many people don't want to go to jail. Jason is one of them.
It's been awhile since he was young and all though his mojo is in better control it's hard to keep it that way with all the girl skirting around in their short skirts and their mid drifts and their see through and their string bikini's. It was the young girls that drove him from his beloved state. But that wa sin the past and the past should be behind him, all lion king quotes aside.
The librarian eyed the books on his push cart, noting their bar codes and seeing whether they belonged in art or not. It was a quiet day and he planed to travel to Califorina later to catch some waves. He sighed as he placed another book on the shelf and dragged the cart along. Jason thought about the waves and great it would be to surf them again. Even since he moved up here to the landlocked state, he always meant to go to cali but they were always rained on. Taking another book from the pile he placed that one in it's place.

---- After finishing up her class, Ashley was in need of a good book. A book to keep her mind off of certain things. She dropped reading back when she started teaching, just because she was so focused on being a good teacher. Now, she wasn’t too sure if she could be a good teacher with all of her focus on each and every student. The library at the school usually let her rent out books for her own amusement. Usually, they were “how-to” books, but she was looking forward to a novel. She didn’t want a romantic novel, but more of a thriller. She loved getting scared at the middle of night, for some reason. Though, it would be better if she had someone to hold her and calm her when she awoke from a bad dream.. but that was just the price she had to pay for becoming infatuated with one of her students.
---- She cleaned up after the boys, noticing that Miss Meyer’s desk was quite clean. There was something about girls that made Ashley feel so… neat and organized. She laughed a bit to herself and finished tidying up. She turned off the lights, locked the door and went down the stairs. It was only one flight of stairs, and the shop teacher was in pretty good shape, so it didn’t tire her out. The library was on the ground floor, and she assumed not many kids would be in the library right now. Actually, there were probably more girls than boys. Not that girls were smarter than boys, but girls had a tendency to fall for things that they could not have. And the thing that they could not have was the librarian, Mister Smith. She grinned at this thought, because she was one of those girls. Not the girls that were crushing on Mister Smith, but one of the girls that fall for things they could not have. Maybe it was the fact that sneaking around thrilled her, and she was a very daring and risky lady. She knew that was a bad thing, but she wasn’t going to change herself.
---- She entered the library, pushing a strand of honey-colored hair behind her ear. She was getting a few looks, but she just ignored it. She did get some weird stares in the hallways, and the majority of the stares were coming from stuck up female students. They’d be out of her hair in a few years, anyways. She didn’t let them get to her.. not anymore. Seeing Mister Smith stacking the shelves with books drew Ashley over. She laughed a bit and set her hands on her hips. “You do realize you’re the main attraction in this library, right?” She joked, looking at him and smiling her slightly devilish grin that would be seen now and then. She didn't usually show it to other guys much, but he was a staff member. That was the only exception. It wasn't like she was flirting, or anything, but she was being friendly. Plus, both of them knew that Ashley wasn't interested in him.. actually, pretty much everyone knew that.

Jason smiled when he heard the whispers of young high school girls in his background. even though he had flown a good two hundred miles to get away from them here they were, so close to him he could smell them. Breathing their same air was fine too but. The older man shook his head. those days was over. He had his fun with the young flock and now it was the young boys turn.
Although he couldn't help it that his looks where God given. They were made to be stared at and he wasn't going to waste that. The cowboy made a mental note to unbutton his shirt later, just for the girls. On occasion he would do something for the confused boys but the girl's is what he lived to please for. He was thankful he never settled down. Nine times out of ten he would have ended up having a baby girl and she would have had Jason wrapped arouns her finger.
The librarian chuckled as he heard the familiar female voice. "Well Ms. Meadows, with you here now I'm not so sure. His southern accent was always at the strongest when he was with her. Jason turned around to face to beautiful lady. He didn't have a hate on but he still tipped the nonexistent one out of respect. He placed the book in it's place and gently leaned against the shelf, hoping not to tip it. It wasn't often he got such beautiful women down in the dungeons, or so he called it. Sure he had the occasional ogling teens but it was nice to see a woman's face one and a while.

___________________________________________________its the greatest thing you'll ever imagine, but you'll never know until you're there.___________________________________________________
---- The chuckle he let out made her grin a bit bigger. There was nothing like having a friend in the workplace that wasn't afraid to talk to her. Well, he was male so that was part of it. Most of the guys like talking to her, but not a lot of females at all. And who was complaining? Not her - she didn't even like hanging out with some of the ladies here. They gossiped, they were snotty and just thought they knew it all. Of course, the administration loved her. She didn't know their reasoning behind their love towards her, but again, she wasn't about to complain about that. Ashley took one hand off her hip and flipped a long strand of hair behind her back. She didn't like it when her hair got infront of her eyes. Personally, she thought the hazel eyes of hers were pretty. She wasn't really trying to compliment herself, but they were always so cheery. Well, that's what she was told. She was so expressive with her eyes, and she somehow liked that. Ashley Meadows was a very open person, as people may tell, and she had no exceptions. If people wanted to know how she was feeling, she'd tell them. Sometimes it would hurt, but what were they expecting? A lie? Ashley was no liar, she made sure of that.
---- A blush crept up onto the young woman's pale cheeks. Even if she didn't find men attractive, it still made her feel good when a man complimented her. At least, she thought it was a compliment. She could be being completely naive again, assuming an insult would be a compliment.. but she didn't think Jason was that kind of guy. She was also a bit optomistic, if you couldn't tell. "I hope that you're not implying that these young ladies are here for me, mister Smith." She said with a small laugh, bringing her hand down back to her hip, still smiling. She decided not to do a scan around the library, in case anyone was listening. She wasn't ashames of herself, but seeing a few horrified looks on teenage girls faces wasn't too good for her ego. Anyways, if they didn't know better, they'd assume there was something between her and Jason. Naturally, rumors started when one man and woman were talking with smiles on their faces, complimenting each other.
---- Ashley enjoyed the man's southern accent. It was a nice change. But, there were lots of different kinds of people around Dodgersville. It was like a place to get away from your past and start a new life, or whatever. "So how's life, Jason?" Ashley moved her hands from her hips and crossed her arms over her chest, tilting her head a bit to the side. A few strands of hair fell into her eyes, causing her to brush them away. Lately, her hair was getting annoying. Why she didn't put it up today, she had no idea. It would've been a good idea.

The cowboy chuckled loudly and turned to the girls and wave. "Well Ms. Meadows, the world is changing and people are becoming more open minded to the world around then not just their own." Jason shrugged and stacked more books in his arms. He really didn't care for the teen aged girls that much anymore... most of the time. Since the day he was born it had become a regular thing and even though men had slowly entered the horizon, it continued. Being older then any of his female body he knew there were limits. Eighteen was a very good number. They were no longer young and nimble but grown women who just couldn't drink yet.
The cowboy had a habit of picking up the younger generation He had tried to get in the habit of asking for age.The last thing he needed was to be known by society as a pedophile even though he kindah sorta was. He began to walk forward oping the lovely Ms. Meadows would follow. "Well it could be anymore better ma'am. Surrounded by young girls and young bos just brings life to my day. He smiled brightly, trying to conceal the truth behind his words. He knew he had a problem but he didn't like admitting it to other people.
Jason stacked the books on the shelf and turned to face the woman. He smirked and scratched the chin stubble. so what brings a lovely woman such as yourself down here? I'm sure it has nothing to do with this hunkalicious librarian who is just standing here."
